Will I harm the environment if I choose LongLife® folding rules?
Unlike wood products, polyamide (PA) is obtained from crude oil.
Crude oil is not suitable as a foodstuff, so there is no direct competition when it is processed into plastic.
Since we pay great attention to efficiency, our products undergo automated processes in-house, from raw material to the finished measuring tool. By purchasing raw materials directly from Swiss suppliers, we always maintain a resource-conscious value chain.
Is the production of LongLife® folding rules harmful to the environment?
Our short value-added chains and fully automated processes in our products keep environmental impact as low as possible. We are constantly striving to develop further in environmental protection.
Can LongLife® folding rules be recycled?
The joints are made of polyoxymethylene (POM) and stainless steel springs. POM is recycable.
The LongLife® link rod is made of PA6, and can also be recycled. The metal ends are made of zinc.
Do I act sustainably when I choose LongLife® folding rules?
The service life of LongLife® folding rules is very long. Due to their material composition of polyamide (PA) and glass fibres, they are very durable and resistant.
They are harmless to water, many chemicals and other external influences such as scratches. In addition, they have a very high breaking strain and wear-free joints that do not require special care.
They are also resistant to cold and heat, which makes it possible to work in different areas.
Due to the high durability of the product, in individual cases, post-production is carried out at longer intervals, which results in sustainability in terms of the procurement and processing of the raw materials.
